Stop Gender Violence Helpline
The Stop Gender Violence Helpline services include:
- Providing information and counselling services to male callers of the Line (statistics show that an average of 30% of the Line’s callers are male, including both perpetrators and survivors and victims of violence and abuse).
- Providing relevant information to partners on the linkages between gender-based violence and HIV and AIDS for strategic and planning purposes.
- Raising awareness and an understanding of the linkages between gender-based violence and HIV and AIDS
- Life skills programmes for women and girls
- Peer counselling and education training for men and girls
Forming networking and collaboration partnerships with similar organisations
National AIDS Helpline
The National Aids Helpline services include:
- Toll-free, 24/7 telephonic service, manned by HIV and AIDS counsellors
- The objective of the Line is to provide national, anonymous, confidential and accessible information, counselling and referral telephone service for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS
- The treatment support line is aimed at improving accessibility to anti-retroviral, TB and STI services through information giving and education by professional nurses
- Provides awareness, counselling and referrals. It also act as an entry point in terms of accessing services from Government, the private sector and other NGOs/CBOs
- Service is easily and readily accessible to everyone within the borders of South Africa makes it one

National Counselling Line 0861-322-322
The National Counselling Line offers the following services:
- Operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
- Provides an anonymous and confidential telephonic counselling service
- The answering and marketing of the Line contribute to a standard for affiliation of South African Centres
- Acts as a central entry/access point to relevant, accessible, equitable and well co-ordinated services
- Enhances synergy between LifeLine’s Community Centres, by pooling resources and skills for the benefit of the callers
