HIV and AIDS

Feedback

Southern Africa remains one of the regions hardest hit with the HIV and AIDS pandemic. We believe that a comprehensive approach is needed to tackle this enormous challenge. We all need to stand together to fight this battle.

Every year we provide tens of thousands of people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS with education, emotional support and counselling services, aimed at helping and sustaining behaviour change. Our programme is also linked to other community structures and government programmes.

Our Emotional Wellness response to HIV and AIDS includes:

  • Anonymous and Confidential Telephone counselling
  • Community awareness programmes
  • Support groups to infected and affected persons
  • Confidential Face to Face counselling for Individuals and Couples
  • Ongoing post test counselling for individuals and Couples
  • Community Based Peer education
  • Confidential voluntary counselling and Testing
  • Health literacy

The Treatment line, a specialist unit of the HIV and AIDS Helpline is manned by professional Nurses and provides you with immediate, telephonic access to quality, accurate and specialised information and/or education on HIV and AIDS treatment issues.
